Vergina is a small town and the site in
Northern Greece where in 1977 the burial grounds of the kings of Ancient Macedon
including that of Philip II, the father of Alexander the Great were
found.

When we left Meteora we drove to the North-western region
of Greece where Western Macedonia is located.
